Dr. Yunzhong Chen is the group leader of conducting oxide interfaces at DTU Energy. His focus is on epitaxial growth, characterization, control and understanding of oxide heterostructures which exhibit a multitude of remarkable properties by rational design, such as high-mobility two-dimensional electron gases (2DEGs) at the interface between two oxide insulators, ionic gating, and enhanced catalytic activity for information and energy devices. There are on-going projects on the fabrication and ionic gating of functional oxide thin films as well as ion-assisted oxide photovaltic cells.
