Dr. Markus Kubicek is Research Scientist atInstitute of Chemical Technologies and Analytics in the Faculty of Chemistry at Technische Universität Wien, Austria. He received his diploma degree in Chemistry at TU Wien in 2010, followed by the PhD degree in Chemistry in 2013. After a 2 year post-doctoral stay at ETH Zürich (2013-2015) he returned to TU Wien as a research scientist. His research deals with electrochemical properties of oxide surfaces, cation and anion diffusion in oxides, memristive devices, thermochemical water splitting and photo-induced defect processes in oxides. He authored or co-authored 29 articles in international journals and already achieved an impressive citation record (h = 16, > 700 citation, 250 citations within 2017).
